Our Story

We are a nonprofit dedicated to one simple mission: to give voice where silence has lived too long.

GamblingKids.org is not about lawsuits or legal battles. We are not in the business of litigation. We are in the business of truth. Our work is about listening, documenting, and shedding light on the risks hidden behind programs that promise transformation.

We call them Facade Schools: schools that present themselves as character builders, college-prep institutions, or growth-focused programs — but whose practices often rely on control, coercion, and methods that can leave lasting harm. They wear a mask of hope, but behind it are patterns parents and students rarely see until it's too late.

This effort began with one story, but it quickly became clear that it was not just one story. Alumni, parents, and professionals reached out to say: "This is what I experienced too." What started as a single voice has grown into a chorus.

GamblingKids.org exists to name those patterns, to provide parents with the tools to recognize the red flags, and to create a safe place for survivors and families to be heard.

This is not about revenge. This is not about tearing down. This is about responsibility — to speak clearly, to listen deeply, and to make sure the next generation of kids does not carry scars from institutions that promised them growth.
